Weightlifter Christine Girard got an upgrade this week.
The Rouyn-Noranda native placed fourth at the 2008 Beijing Olympics, and won the bronze four years later in London.
But this week in Ottawa, the now-retired 33-year-old received a gold for London and a bronze for Beijing. Why? The athletes ahead of her were disqualified for doping.
Christine spoke to Andrew about how she wasn't just robbed of glory... her standings meant she lost out on sponsors, money and motivation.
But this week, she's got a huge smile on her face... Christine is the only Canadian Olympic Champion in weightlifting, and the first to win two Olympic medals in the sport.
