It's a snowy morning for it, but anti-poverty activists and union organizers are taking their 5-10-15 Caravan to the offices of some of the Couillard government's female cabinet ministers today.
The 5-10-15 Caravan takes its name from the campaign's three demands: five days of advance notice for work schedules, ten days a year of paid family or sick leave and a $15 minimum wage.
It is usually around this time of year that the provincial government sets the minimum wage, to take effect the following May 1st.
The caravan chose to visit female cabinet ministers to highlight the fact that women are over-represented at the bottom end of Quebec's pay scale.
