Quebec Solidare MNA Amir Khadir is going to turn up the heat on Bombardier this morning, even as the company moves to defuse the growing anger over proposed hefty executive pay bonuses.
Khadir has issued a release announcing that he will show up at the Saint-Jacques Street constituency office of Economy Minister Dominique Anglade with a 34,000 signature petition demanding the provincial government reopen the billion dollar agreement the government signed with Bombardier
last summer.
The move follows the second weekend in a row of protests against the deal in Montreal.
Sunday several dozen people demonstrated in front of Premier Philippe Couillard's Montreal office calling for the entire pay package to be cancelled.
Company CEO Alain Bellemare has announced that half the 50% pay increase would be put off to 2020, providing certain objectives were met.
