A 16-year-old accused of stabbing a 15-year-old LaSalle boy to death on Nuns Island has been released on bail, the Montreal Gazette reports.
The youth court judge released him on the usual conditions, including maintaining a curfew and not possessing any weapons, according to the newspaper.
On Halloween, the 15-year-old boy was fatally stabbed following a party on Île-des-Soeurs Blvd., near Darwin St..
The accused's lawyer successfully argued for his release, saying the teen's aunt would house him until trial and the boy had never before been convicted of any crime.
