For the fourth time this month unionized employees of the Société des alcools du Québec (SAQ) walked off the job this morning in a 24-strike to protest the slow pace of their contract talks.
But instead of setting up picket lines outside the more than 400 SAQ outlets across the province, the union organized a demonstration in Quebec City.
Workers are being bussed in from all regions to a demonstration outside the National Assembly.
The 5500 member union has been working without a contract since March 31, 2017.
A complete list of SAQ outlets that are being kept open by management personnel can be found at the SAQ website.
